About Minimum Usage Fee

FAQ

About metrics

What are standard hosts and micro hosts?

"Standard host" is a host or VM-based integration instance where mackerel-agent is installed. "Micro host" is a component of a Pod or Task where mackerel-container-agent is registered as a sidecar, or a component that is integrated with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud  other than a VM-based integration.

For details, please refer to What is a "host"?.

What are host metrics?

The metrics posted to the host by agents and various cloud integrations are called ‘host metrics’.

What are service metrics?

Metrics that can be posted for services created in Mackerel that are not associated with a particular host are called 'service metrics'. You can record and visualize any metric that isn't associated with a particular host. For details, please refer to "Service metrics".

What are labeled metrics?

Based on the OpenTelemetry Metrics specification, metrics posted by OpenTelemetry Collector, OpenTelemetry SDK, etc. are called ‘labeled metrics’.

About plans

What features can be used with the free trial?

After registering and creating a new organization, you can use the same functions as the Standard plan for free for two weeks.

What happens when the 2-week free trial period ends?

At the end of the free trial, you will automatically be transferred to the Free plan. If you complete the application for the paid plan before the end of the trial period, the plan will start at the same time you apply and the remaining days of the trial period will be discarded.
After migrating to the Free plan, each item will not be displayed beyond the Free plan limit, but the data will remain for a certain period of time. If you switch to the paid plan, the display of each item will be restored.

About contracts and payments

What payment methods are available?

We accept all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, JCB, American Express, Diners Club, and Discover Card). Credit cards are charged every month according to the selected plan. We also offer consultations regarding other payment methods depending on your usage record.

When will the payment be made?

Please refer to "Tell me about the timing of payments".

Will I recieve a receipt?

The receipt will be sent to the owner of the organization by email after the credit card payment has been completed. Alternatively, if you are the owner or a user with administrator privileges, you can download it from the Plans screen in the web console.
